I've always been drawn to the desert. I don't know why. I don't even like hot.
But when all those people would go on about the mountains or the ocean or the lake or the forests to be with nature, I wonder what kind of person I must be to identify with desert. (At first I didn't even recognize it as "drawn to the desert". I figured I was drawn to nothing because I wasn't drawn to mountains or oceans or lakes or forests or any of the normal-people places. It was only later that the obvious slapped me in the face. For the longest time, I'd never even heard of *anyone* drawn to desert.)
You paint a great picture. Makes me want to get out to a desert again soon.
In the middle of everything
Knowing now, finally, for the first time at last, what I want—
more sun, more quiet, to be closer to family and also to god
The wisdom straight out the gate <3
What a stunning little piece to find in my inbox. So serene and centered. Absolutely loved reading it, shared it! Thank you for sharing yourself 🙏🏽
Lovely! I like the repetition, gives a good tempo!
